JCAPS Standards

1998 JCAHO Hospital Standards
512 Pastoral Services meetings are held at least monthly. RI.1.3 The hospital demonstrates respect for the following patient needs:

RI.1.3.5 pastoral care and other spiritual services.

LD.2.3 Directors develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services.

*Note - JC standards do not specifically require monthly meetings. It is up to the hospital to determine if or how often such meetings would occur.
513 Pastoral Services providers and support staff are evaluated annually.

514 The director is evaluated annually.

 HR.5 The hospital assesses each staff member’s ability to meet the performance expectations stated in his or her job description.
